The Gig Reviewer is an magazine style rock music web site. It started in November 2002 after a group of friends in Surrey and Hampshire decided to create a web presence to air their gig reviews and have a place for discussions... well ok arguments!
It has grown to house a range of views from amercana fans to hardcore metal and some decididly naf pop! The less said about that the better!
Best of Unsigned CD

One of the projects that The Gig Reviewer has embarked on was to compile and release a compilation of unsigned music to promote what many feel to be a vast field of music as yet untapped for its commercial potential. We hope by our release of "Gig Reviewer - Best of Unsigned" in 2003 that we can at least gain some exposure for some highly talented bands many of which may have a successful future in front of them! |
Submitting Music For Reviewing
To submit your music for review, please send it to the address on our contact page
We do receive alot of stuff through the post from bands wanting their EPs reviewed, so we have put this bit to make the whole bit easier.
We try and review all the stuff, however we have to wade through loads of stuff, so please be patient if we don't review it. Please be forgiving if we don't review it at all!
If you speak to us first via email, we can arrange for any costs to be met and to guarantee that your CD gets reviewed!
Can I be a reviewer?
Yeah, why not - we're not journalists here and don't mind publishing drunken rants about any given (music) subject - so send away! Details on our contact page.
I'm In A Band. Can You Help Promote Us?
You have free reign of the services offered on this site which are ALL free. We can also talk about getting interviews, album reviews and unsigned music reviews although that depends on how friendly any reviewers are feeling. Slipping them a few quid usually helps! You are quite welcome to send in your albums/EPs using the details on our contact page.
Not For Profit
The Gig Reviewer is not here to make money from you. Any money raised in advertising, the shop or from other sources goes towards to hosting and running costs of the website. If we make a few quid over then you'll find us down the pub!
If you do wish to make a donation, then please send them through! We will mention all donationations given, and even give your website an extra special mention for your generosity!
