Gig Reviews: My Ruin at The Underworld, London

Having been dragged kicking and screaming to see this band once before many years ago, and not having enjoyed the experience, it was with some reluctance I agreed to repeat the experience and accompany the missus last night.
This has to be one of the worst gigs I have ever been to. The feeling that I was watching a bad pub band was magnified as Mrs Murphy (nee Miss B) slaughtered AC/DC's "Have A Drink On Me", and I had to chuckle at her rantings about other females and the laughable ensuing "Money Shot". Come on lady, with your age and width I doubt that you are in any danger of being asked to do such a shot any time soon.
The lighting throughout was terrible, and in danger of blinding their audience.
Thankfully we were spared an encore, though I could not help but feel an sense of anticipation - like we would now get to see the main band come on.
The missus seemed to enjoy it, but it is not something I would like to go through again. Got to go out clubbing later to scrub the memory of it all so its all good but I guess the appeal of this, cough, band is "a woman thing".
