Miscellaneous: Civilized Tears - With Free Downloads
by Gary Smith
Civilized Tears are an amazing alternate rock and pop band that have come from the USA, to take up residence in Guildford, UK.
Tim Bennett, the heart and soul behind the driving force that is Civilized Tears, has an extensive biography. He has lived almost everywhere possible, and worked in almost every job ever dreamt up just to keep feeding the passion for his music.
Tim comprises all the music behind the band, and writes on his true experiences that really shine through on the band and their music.
In January 2007, Ollie Kirtley joined C.T as the drummer, after studying at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford (and achieved double merits!). Ollie learnt all the music before joining the band just by watching YouTube!
February 2008 saw the appearance of Ed Wright at some ACM auditions, and has become a vital member of Civilized Tears. Rytch Muir, also from the ACM, soon joined after as their bassist.
Just recently, April 2009 to put a date to it, saw the introduction of the keyboardist, Duncan Haynes. Duncan has always been a well established member of London's music scene.
In more recent news, Civilized Tearshave released a video on youtube, Breath In The Ash which has trimphed over Green Day in the alternate music charts.
You can hear three exclusive downloads by joining their fan list on Reverb Nation, with a link to get hold of the downloads here. They are excellent tracks, with a different feel between each of them and well worth a listen.
GigReviewer.com has also had the priviledge of having another track of theirs, Blue Sunrise, which has a heavier feel with memorable melodies. We suggest you check out Civilized Tears as you will not be disappointed.
