Specially Dedicated

Article By Gary Smith, 16th August 2009

Specially Dedicated is a charity event held in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support in Hertfordshire, UK.

The event will start kicking off on Friday 4th September in the evening, where a large group of people will be camping overnight in the field in readiness for the day ahead of them. On Saturday 5th September it will be all go with 3 music stages, a collection of stalls and much more!

The crowds will gather in the fields next to The Rising Sun Pub, Halls Green, Hitchin with a dance stage, featuring Drum & Bass, Reggae, Jungle, Electro/Breaks and OldSkool remixes.

Roots Reggae and Dancehall Reggae will be fronting the day over on the Reggae stage, and all this whilst enjoying a nice hog-roast, or just going over to meet the two gorgeous girls that will be holding the kissing booth (so get your onion-breath ready!)

You can also enjoy a holistic massage, or play football, get your face painted or take your pick of a selection of records on the stalls. There will also be fire-dancers and magic tricks to entertain the little ones!

This will be a very family oriented day, so everyone needs to be on their best behaviour and keep everything running on a positive high.

This will be a big job for the 10 bands on the day, with a lin-up that includes Rock, Stock & Basil, Porquipine Monday, MonkJack, Liquid Metal Men, Rubric, Papaphone, a 6 peice Jazz band, Dave Millard, The Defekters, Epoc Live with a special appearance from Reggie The 10yr old Drummer!

GigReviewer.com will be attending as much of the day as possible and will be looking out for some great reviews to make and take a fair few pictures on the day.

The field has a 1000 person capacity at best, and there are still around 200 tickets left, so please click here to find out more and see if you can help make a difference (and have alot of fun while you're at it! Tickets are only £4 in advance...or £6 at the gates..!
